When do you add a transportation fee?

A transportation fee is added 35 miles beyond our address 545 Meridian Ave, San Jose CA 95159

35 - 55 miles is $1.50 per mile

55 - 75 miles is $2.50 per mile

 

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first send a contract out for the customer to view, sign and return along with a $200 deposit. We also send links to our templates online for them to view and choose from. Once the template has been chosen and changes made, we have them choose a backdrop. Along these steps we are always available via phone, email or text to assist in any questions they may have.
 
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken Photography classes along with just going out and using my camera! I do have samples of some of my work on fotoschidas.com for anyone to view. Maria also has been into crafts and her knowledge comes in handy in template final design and memory book personalization.
 
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
We do not usually do any event shorter than 2 hours and our rates generally start at $450.00. We do try to work with individuals and come up with suggestions for their event to get the most out of their Booth time. We also do offer idle time at a reduced cost for down time during the event. We are also insured, something most Venues do require of Photo Booths.
 
How did you get started doing this type of work?
We started after having a Photo Booth at our own wedding and being dissatisfied with the customer service and final product. We really did not have much input in the template design and everything was done through a form online. So a friend told me if I could do better I should....so along with the support of my wife....WE DID! A Photo Booth should be a fun, pleasant experience from booking all the way thru taking your Photos at your event!
 
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We've worked with families celebrating life events such as Graduations, Birthdays and Weddings to Companies having employee events!
 
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Take a look at their work. Make sure you are able to interact with them and ask any questions you may have. Be sure to ask if all the people in the photo can get a copy.  Sometimes the quotes will only print 1 (4x6) photo card, or 2 (2x6) strips per session. Like any business, it is not only the product that you are paying for, but the customer service as well.
